CHICAGO, IL - March 20, 2002 - myScaleDown Inc. introduces the Smart
Scale; part of a first-of-its-kind, patent-pending diet system that
allows individuals to weigh-in and track their diet progress directly
over the Internet. The Smart Scale is a highly accurate personal scale
that connects to a computer and interfaces with a web site located at
http://www.myscaledown.com. There, members upload and track their
weight progress, as well as receive support and practical solutions
for reaching a healthy weight.

The Smart Scale connects to a PC computer via a serial port. When a
myScaleDown member visits the Web site and activates the scale, the
weight measurement uploads to a personal diet profile and the

ADUSA Technologies Inc., a technology solutions provider in Lombard,
IL, developed the Smart Scale and the myScaleDown Web site. Nextep
Inc., with offices in Melrose Park, IL, handled acquisition and
distribution of the Smart Scale. Joe Schwinger, ADUSA's director of
sales said, "We couldn't have created this project in the time frame

While building the Web site and scale application, members of the
ADUSA development team decided to try out the myScaleDown diet to lose
some weight. "A couple developers lost 10 to 15 pounds with Harvey's
diet, and one senior manager actually lost 45 pounds on the diet,"
said Schwinger. "His methods really work."

In addition to interfacing with the myScaleDown Web site, the Smart
Scale works on its own as a personal digital scale and is accurate to
one-tenth of a pound and will weigh accurately on a variety of
surfaces, including carpet and uneven floor tiling.
